the unique characteristics, challenges, and support systems for health centers
- Build effective relationships with supervisors,
leaders, peers, former peers, and direct reports
- Manage flexible, responsive, satisfied, and
customer-focused teams
- Effectively listen, deliver instructions, give
feedback, and handle conflict
- Drive accountability and deliver results
through performance management above and beyond annual evaluation
- Hire staff for long-term success by identifying
the right skills and fit
- Recognize common legal supervisory/ management
issues and concerns
- Address individual challenges and identify best
practices for your own professional growth
Course Components: This course includes a balance of
face-to-face, virtual, group, and one-on-one educational and networking
components, including:
- Wednesday, April 24 to Friday, April,
26, 2013: three day in-person
training includes daily breakfasts and breaks plus two lunches
- May-June 2013: one-on-one coaching calls between lead
trainer and each participant (one per participant, approximately 30
minutes each) to address individual challenges and encourage ongoing
professional growth
- May-June 2013 (date TBD): conference call check-in with
participants to answer questions, share experiences, and reinforce
learning
- April 2013 forward: LinkedIn discussion group restricted to
course participants to facilitate ongoing networking (optional)

Course Fees: The fee is $800 for individuals working at CHAMPS, NWRPCA,
WYPCA, and/or CCHN member organizations. The fee for non-members is $1200.
