Chief of Operations and Business Development
Tony Richards is the chief of operations and business development for Community HealthCare Association of the Dakotas (CHAD). Prior to joining CHAD, he was a business consultant serving business start-ups to fortune 500 companies since 1980.
In addition to consulting, he has served within the financial marketplace as the executive vice president, chief operating officer, and president/chief executive officer of various trade associations. He is a registered lobbyist who has met with state and federal legislators on various financial and healthcare issues. Tony is also a grant writer who has worked with individual, profit, and non-profit organizations.
He has taught business classes at Penn State University, Butler County Community College, Rasmussen College, and works on contract with Bismarck State College. Tony holds a bachelors degree from The American University in Washington, D.C., and a master’s in management from Webster University.
He has written workbooks on “How to Write a Business Plan” and “The Entrepreneur’s Guide to Servant Leadership” and has co-authored Bushido Business with Steven Covey. Tony has been a workshop and keynote speaker for various industries. He serves on various non-profit boards and along with his wife co-founded the North Dakota Autism Connection. He is also the founder and Dean of the FAITH Bible Institute, a Bible college headquartered in Bismarck with locations in the United States, Africa, and India.
Tony is married and lives with his wife Sherris and two daughters, Lauren and Faith in Bismarck, North Dakota.
